Dave Johnston

Dave Johnston has been a Managing Director at The Precipio Group since 2003, where he has led regulatory compliance and internal control projects, including Sarbanes-Oxley and NASD related projects. Dave’s projects have included up to 25 team members at a time and have lasted up to two years. Dave’s professional experience prior to joining The Precipio Group includes:

  • Senior Manager at a Big 4 accounting firm, responsible for a technology controls consulting practice covering a seven state area in the Southeast US.
  • Manager at a second Big 4 accounting firm, responsible for an IT audit practice covering a three state area in the Southeast US.
  • Director of Internal Audit for a national financial institution, responsible for financial, operational, IT, and regulatory audits.
  • Senior Manager of internal audit for a global logistics company, responsible for financial, operational, and IT audits.

Dave graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1986 with a B.S. degree in Accounting and MIS. He also attended Washington and Lee University and Harvard University as an undergraduate.
