John Wazowicz
John Wazowicz is a Managing Director of The Precipio Group, where he has focused on internal control and business process engagements. He has been engaged in an advisory and management capacity for multiple companies in the design, implementation and testing of ICFR programs for compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2003. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Finance of a national parts redistribution and maintenance services in the airline industry, where he also created a formal Treasury Department and served as Treasurer. In these roles he was responsible for managing cash, prioritizing and approving all company-wide disbursements based on availability under an asset based borrowing facility and forecasted cashflows, interacting with lending institutions, and negotiating resolutions to post-close matters following sales of assets/entities. After serving on the audit team of international financial service companies with a Big Four firm, he was hired by a client upon execution of its initial public offering to establish and manage the SEC Reporting functions. As Director of Public Reporting, he created the routine process for obtaining, analyzing and presenting information required for periodic SEC reporting. In addition, this role was the day-to-day contact for analysts and was responsible for preparation of financial press release and earnings conference call data. After managing this process through the company’s first several years as a public company, he was assumed responsibility for the Treasury Department including management of cash, debt, accounts payable and treasury related reporting functions. John also created the accounting, treasury and HR functions of a start-up investment company and began his career as an Internal Auditor for a global insurance company. John earned his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Scranton in 1986.
